Understanding SEO Strategies: A Deep Dive into Effective Keyword Targeting
Hello, SEO Enthusiasts!
I recently came across an insightful SEO strategy shared by a seasoned expert in the field, and it sparked my curiosity. The approach revolves around an impressive technique that involves comprehensive content creation aimed at ranking for competitive keywords. Let’s break down the strategy and see how it might apply to various scenarios, including my own.
The SEO Strategy Explained
The expert’s strategy became effective after targeting a highly competitive keyword, which had a difficulty of 45% on SEMrush. To increase her chances of ranking, she developed a targeted article for each relevant keyword associated with her main goal. This extensive effort went on for an entire year, with her team producing about one post a day, given the size of their operation. Ultimately, her persistence paid off, as she succeeded in securing the top position for her desired keyword.
When Is This Strategy Beneficial?
This approach seems robust, but it raises the question of when to employ such a tactic. For instance, in my own situation, I am striving to rank for specific districts in Dubai, namely Jumeirah Village Circle. The keyword I’m targeting has a relatively low competition level (around 12% difficulty), according to SEMrush.
Given this context, I’m contemplating whether it would be more effective to create multiple focused articles (around three to five) that hone in on various aspects of Jumeirah Village Circle—such as a comprehensive guide, accessibility tips, and community features—or to consolidate that information into a singular, in-depth post that satisfies all related search intents.
Addressing My Dilemma
Currently, my content strategy includes one comprehensive article targeting “Jumeirah Village Circle” alongside two to four additional pieces addressing keywords like “living in Jumeirah Village Circle.” However, the challenge lies in the fact that these secondary keywords show little to no search volume according to SEMrush.
So, where do I go from here? Is it wiser to invest time in creating multiple posts that aggregate various facets of the district, or should I focus my efforts on crafting a single, all-encompassing article?
I welcome any insights you might have on this strategy and would greatly appreciate your advice. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Happy optimizing!
