Unraveling the Mystery of “0” Tags in Meta Snippets: Seeking Insights from SEO Experts
Hello, fellow SEO enthusiasts!
I find myself in a bit of a predicament, and I could really use your expertise to shed some light on an unusual issue we’re encountering with Basecamp Fitness’s Google search result snippets. Lately, we’ve noticed strange “0” tags appearing next to our studio locations in the meta snippets, such as:
Woodbury 0 | Minneapolis 0 | Birmingham 0
These tags are positioned under a correctly indexed webpage, which adds to the confusion.
In my investigation, I’ve thoroughly examined the HTML, schema markup, and Content Management System (CMS) configuration. However, I have yet to pinpoint any numerical tags or references that could explain the appearance of a “0” next to these city names. Our intention for these buttons is to serve as location filters, so having numbers accompanying them is far from ideal.
This raises a couple of questions: Where could this “0” be generated from? Is it possible that Google is injecting this information or scraping it from another source? I would sincerely appreciate any insights or debugging techniques you might have to help decipher this issue.
For those interested in a visual reference, I have linked a screenshot demonstrating what we’re seeing. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
