Struggling with Low Traffic Despite SEO Investment: A Call for Guidance
Hello, readers!
Today, I’d like to share a challenge many entrepreneurs face in the digital landscape—driving traffic to a website even after significant investment in SEO. I’m reaching out in hopes of connecting with those who can lend some insight.
Three years ago, I embarked on the journey of starting my own business, focusing on the sale of custom gaming PCs in the UK. The website took about a year to develop, and for the past two years, I’ve been investing in SEO services through various companies. Unfortunately, despite this effort, my website is hardly gaining traction. If I’m lucky, I see 2 to 5 visitors each day, and there are times when the number dips to zero.
What’s puzzling is that when we do manage to attract visitors, our conversion rates are encouraging. This suggests that our value proposition is solid—offering competitive pricing, free delivery, and a range of unique selling points. However, the key issue is the shocking lack of traffic.
Despite having devoted around £6,000 to marketing, which feels substantial for a budding business, my knowledge of SEO has remained quite basic. I’ve begun to suspect that I might not have received the support I expected from the SEO firms I hired. Tools like Ahrefs indicate a Domain Rating (DR) of 17 and an Url Rating (UR) of 29, while Semrush measures our authority score at a mere 16.
Given this context, I find myself at a crossroads. With limited funds available for further SEO investments, it’s crucial for us to boost our traffic quickly to ensure the viability of our business.
To my fellow business owners and SEO experts, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. What strategies or actionable insights can you provide to help us navigate this challenging situation? Any tips on optimizing our website, improving our online presence, or increasing our traffic would be invaluable.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea, and I look forward to your suggestions!
Best,
