Optimizing Monetization Strategies for Small Literature Blogs: Exploring Alternatives to Mediavine

As a passionate blogger operating a literature-focused website garnering approximately 2,000 monthly sessions, seeking effective monetization avenues is a priority. Recently, I submitted an application to Mediavine’s Journey program four months ago, but unfortunately, I have not received any response or updates from their team. My goal is to transform my blog into a sustainable, full-time endeavor, and understanding the best advertising platforms to support this aspiration is crucial.

Given the lack of communication from Mediavine, I am exploring alternative advertising solutions that can help maximize my revenue potential. My experience with Google AdSense has been underwhelming, as the revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) remains minimal—effectively negligible for my site’s traffic levels. Consequently, I am interested in other reputable ad networks such as Ezoic, which has gained popularity among publishers with modest traffic volumes.

I am seeking insights and feedback from fellow bloggers or digital publishers who have experience with Ezoic or other advertising platforms suitable for sites with similar traffic levels. Specifically, I am interested in understanding:

  • The ease of integration and management

  • Revenue performance relative to traffic

  • Support and overall publisher experience

Any suggestions, tips, or personal experiences shared would be immensely helpful as I endeavor to identify the most effective monetization strategies for my literature blog. Your input will be greatly appreciated as I continue to grow and evolve my online presence.
