Navigating SEO Challenges: Seeking Guidance for Our Independent Font Foundry
As the proud co-owners of a small independent type foundry, my wife and I pour our hearts into creating stunning fonts and custom typefaces for various brands. Recently, we undertook a significant redesign of our website in hopes of enhancing our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy. With memories of my past blogging endeavors from the early 2010s in mind, I anticipated a smoother transition. Unfortunately, reality has proven to be quite different.
Now, three months post-redesign, we’ve observed a gradual uptick in some of our targeted keywords, which is encouraging. Yet, to our dismay, other keywords that we assumed would drive meaningful Engagement remain stagnant. Despite our efforts to create relevant blog content to boost our online presence, we can’t shake the feeling of being stuck in a small bubble, unable to break out.
To make matters more challenging, we recently switched to Ubersuggest for our keyword research needs, appreciating its affordability compared to SEMRush. We’ve diligently investigated the keywords that could help us market our fonts, aiming for increased clicks and impressions, but our efforts have yielded little success. Ubersuggest has indicated that we have only 51 organic keywords, a figure that hasn’t seen any significant fluctuations or improvements in our website traffic for over a month.
Given our current predicament, I am reaching out to the community for assistance. If anyone could recommend insightful articles, reputable SEO courses, or resources that could help us refine our approach, it would be immensely appreciated. We are eager to learn and understand what we might be doing incorrectly in our strategy. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide!
