Evaluating the Challenges of Working with Avada for SEO Improvements

As I embark on a site audit for a potential client, I find myself reflecting on the complexities of working with different website builders, particularly Avada. The client’s previous agency created a visually appealing site that, unfortunately, has not gained any visibility in search results over the past four years. This has prompted the need for a comprehensive SEO strategy that includes the development of service pages and enhancing both on-page and off-page optimization to elevate their rankings.

Initially, I expected the website to be built using Elementor, a more intuitive builder in my experience. However, I was surprised to discover that it is actually constructed with Avada. My research has indicated that Avada can be somewhat outdated and cumbersome, leading me to question whether I should adjust my pricing for the substantial work ahead, given the unique challenges associated with this platform.

One of my main concerns is whether Avada offers user-friendly custom templates that would facilitate page creation. I’ve come across some resources, but I’m uncertain about their effectiveness. Compounding these issues, the current site was developed by a well-regarded agency in a major UK city, yet it suffers from significant technical flaws, such as an excessive number of H1 tags on the homepage and unoptimized images contributing to slow load times.

Given the circumstances, I am considering the possibility of proposing a complete website rebuild rather than simply tweaking the existing content. However, as this is a new client relationship, I hesitate to suggest a rebuild—especially since they’ve invested in a site designed by a top agency. Gaining their trust is essential, and I want to approach this delicately.

The current website comprises only six pages, each with about three to four sections, which I believe I could efficiently reconstruct within a week. However, I seek guidance on how best to navigate this conversation and whether to move forward with the rebuild or focus on optimization strategies within Avada.

Any insights or advice from others who have experience dealing with Avada or similar website optimization scenarios would be greatly appreciated. Your expertise could be invaluable as I work to deliver the best possible outcome for this client.
