Analyzing SEO Service Pricing: Is $1,500 per Month a Fair Investment?

Effective search engine optimization (SEO) is a crucial component of any successful digital marketing strategy. However, determining fair and reasonable pricing for SEO services can often be challenging. Recently, I’ve been evaluating my current SEO service arrangement and would like to share my experience and invite insights from the community.

Currently, I am contracting an SEO agency at a monthly fee of $1,500. Their scope of work includes:

  • Developing comprehensive topical maps
  • Conducting targeted keyword research
  • Providing seven article outlines each month (note: I am responsible for writing the content)
  • Supplying weekly performance reports

From our collaboration, I can attest that the results have been consistently positive, which I take as a strong indicator of the service’s value. Nonetheless, when breaking down the costs, I’ve realized I am approximately paying $215 per article outline (seven outlines at $1,500/month), which seems somewhat steep.

This leads me to ask: does this pricing structure seem reasonable within the current market, or might I be overpaying for these services? I appreciate insights from professionals experienced in SEO pricing models and value benchmarks.

A Note for the Community: Please refrain from private messages offering services or sales pitches—my intention is to gather honest opinions and industry insights.

Your perspectives and advice are highly welcome. Thank you!
