Navigating Schema Issues on Squarespace: Seeking Guidance

In my recent efforts to optimize my Squarespace website, I utilized ChatGPT to create detailed and comprehensive schema markup for my content. Prior to implementation, I ensured that these schema codes passed through Google’s Rich Results Test without any errors. Confident in the accuracy of my structures, I embedded them into my site.

Today, I took a step further by indexing my site through Google Search Console and also conducted a thorough audit using Semrush. To my dismay, I encountered a significant number of structured data errors. These errors predominantly revolved around organization and local business schemas, specifically highlighting that the “name” and “address” fields are missing values.

In my quest for answers, I sought insights from ChatGPT once more. It suggested that Squarespace’s automatic schema generation might be interfering with my custom schema, leading Google to detect two blocks with conflicting information—specifically one lacking the required fields. While ChatGPT advised me to overlook these warnings, it’s a challenge for me to brush aside the persistent errors.

I’m reaching out to the community: is it advisable to disregard these structured data errors? Will the indexing process yield different results, potentially resolving these issues? Any guidance or shared experiences in dealing with similar schema challenges on Squarespace would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
